Kurt Martinez is a Recording Engineer and Dolby Atmos Mixer based at the historic Dean St. Studios in Soho, London.

 

Working from a number of well-known studios across London, including the world renowned Sarm and Metropolis, Kurt cut his teeth with an array of talented and sought after engineers and producers from both sides of the Atlantic.

 

Kurt engineered on the platinum-selling, BRIT-Award nominated single ‘Rain’ by Aitch & AJ Tracey, the UK Top 5 album '2.0' by JLS, and has applied his skills to sessions with other major label artists including Perrie Edwards, Dave, Sam Fender, Tom Grennan, Jess Glynne, Burna Boy, Disciples, Ina Wroldsen and Fleur East. 

 

Since joining the team at Dean St. as Head Dolby Atmos Mix Engineer, Kurt has mixed Spatial Audio releases for the likes of Rita Ora, Alt-J, Switch Disco, Ten Years After, Amber Mark, Maxwell and Odunsi to name a few. As well as the Duran Duran live-concert film 'A Hollywood High' and the six-part Audible Original, ‘Crush Hour: A Musical’, starring the vocal talent of Ellie Goulding.

 

Kurt has also turned his hand to music for television, film and games mixing the score for the Netflix adaptation of 'Lady Chatterley's Lover' in surround, assisting on the soundtrack for the PlayStation title ‘Horizon: Forbidden West’ and engineering sessions for comedian Jack Whitehall's ‘Christmas with my Father' and Bollywood feature film ‘Jagame Thandhiram’.
